Delete rows in Excel shortcut
To delete a row in Excel, you need to right-click or select Delete Row from the Home tab, but you can use the shortcut keys to delete rows smoothly. You can also quickly delete multiple unwanted rows with the shortcut keys. By using the useful shortcut keys I am about to share with you, you can drastically cut down the time you spend on deleting rows and work more efficiently.

Delete single row
This is a way to delete a single row using a shortcut key.

Select a cell

Select the cell in the row you want to delete.
Select a row

Press Shift + Space to select the entire row.
Delete sheet row

Press Ctrl + - (minus) or Alt + H + D + R to delete a row.
Delete a row from the Delete dialog box

Select the cell in the row you want to delete. Press Ctrl + – (minus).

The Delete dialog box will appear.
Use the ↓ (Down Arrow key) to select the Entire row, and press Enter.

The selected row has been deleted.
Delete multiple rows

Select the cell in the row you want to delete.

Press Shift + Space to select the entire row.

Press Shift + ↓ (Down Arrow key) to select multiple rows.

Press Ctrl + – (minus) or Alt + H + D + R to delete multiple rows.
