Excel fill color shortcut
Normally, if you want to apply a fill color to a cell in Excel, it would require several mouse clicks, but the keyboard shortcut we will show you allows you to apply a fill color to a cell without having to reach for the mouse. Also, if the color you are looking for is not available in the palette, you can choose the color you prefer from the Colors dialog box. Remembering this method will be very useful when you want to highlight cells.

Apply fill color
This is a method of applying fill color using shortcut keys.

Select a cell

Select the cells to which you want to apply the fill color.
Select the fill color

Press Alt + H + H to display the color palette for the fill color. Use ↓ (Down Arrow key) or → (Right Arrow key) to select any color.

Press Enter. The fill color has been applied.
