Hide rows in Excel shortcut (Ctrl + 9)
Here are some useful shortcut keys for hiding any row in Excel. Use them to hide rows you may need later, so that you can edit the worksheet nicely. We will show you how to hide a single row and how to hide multiple rows with shortcuts.

Select a cell

Select one cell in the row you want to hide.
Row is hidden

To hide a row, Press Ctrl + 9. Or Press Alt + H + O + U + R.
Hide a row in the context menu

Select the cell in the row you want to hide.

Press Shift + Space. The entire row will be selected.

Press Shift + F10 to bring up the context menu.
Press H. This H refers to Hide.

The selected row is now hidden.
Hide multiple rows

Select the cell in the row you want to hide.

Press Shift + ↓ (Down Arrow key) allows you to select multiple cells.

Press Ctrl + 9 to hide the selected multiple rows.
Hide distant rows

Select the cell in the row you want to hide.

Hold down Ctrl and click on the cells.

Press Ctrl + 9. Or Press Alt + H + O + U + R.
We can now hide the distant rows.
