Shortcut for bold in Excel (Ctrl + B)

In order to make text bold in Excel, you need to select the bold item from the home tab, but you can make the selected text bold using only the keyboard by using the shortcut keys I will introduce. In order to make your data easier to read, there are many opportunities to make the text in a cell bold. Bold the entire text in a cell

This is a way to make the entire text in a cell bold with a shortcut key.

Select a cell

Select a cell

Select the cells you want to make bold.

Bold the text

Press Ctrl + B or Alt + H + 1 to makes all text in the selected cells bold.

Select the cell that contains the text you want to make bold.

Select a part of the text

Press F2 to activate the cell’s edit mode. Press Shift + (Left Arrow key) to select the text you want to make bold.
