This tutorial explains how to insert a row into Excel using shortcuts on a Mac. The shortcut keys are basically the same as in Windows, but since the Mac does not have the Ctrl key, the Command key is substituted. Also, the Alt key access key is not available on the Mac, which limits the operation.

Select a cell

Select the cell in the row you want to insert.
Select the entire row

Press shift + space to select the entire row.

Press command + shift + + (plus) to insert a row.

The Insert dialog box will appear.
Click to select Entire row and click the OK button.
