Subscript Excel shortcut

Subscripts are small characters that appear slightly below normal text. Subscripts are commonly found in scientific and mathematical formulas. Excel has a handy shortcut to convert text to subscripts. Once you learn how to do this, you can easily convert text to subscript without taking your hands off the keyboard.

How to make text subscript

Press F2 to activate cell edit mode. Press Shift + (Left Arrow key) to select the text you want to subscript.
