Unhide columns in Excel shortcut

There are shortcut keys and access keys to unhide columns. It also explains how to unhide a column from the context menu, how to unhide all columns in a worksheet, and how to change the width of a column to unhide it. Unhide column shortcut

Use shortcut keys to unhide columns

To unhide a column using the shortcut key, follow the steps below.

Select a cell

Select a cell

Select any cell in the column next to the hidden column.

Select cells on both sides of the hidden column

Select cells on both sides of the hidden column

Press Shift + (Right Arrow key) to select the cells that span both sides of the hidden column.

Redisplay hidden columns

The hidden columns have been redisplayed

Press Alt + H + O + U + L. The hidden columns will become visible again.

Unhide a column from the context menu

Select a cell

Select any cell in the column next to the hidden column.

Select a column

Press Ctrl + Space to select the entire column of selected cells.

Select both columns of the hidden column

Press Shift + (Right Arrow key) to select the column numbers on both sides of the hidden column.

Select Unhide

Press Shift + F10 and select Unhide.

Redisplay hidden columns

The hidden columns have been redisplayed.

Unhide all columns in a worksheet

Select any blank cell

You can select all the cells on the sheet with a single shortcut, so select any blank cell.

Select all cells on the sheet

Press Ctrl + A to select all the cells in the worksheet.

Display all columns on a sheet

Press Alt + H + O + U + L to redisplay all columns in the worksheet.

Change the column width to unhide columns

Select a cell

Select any cell in the column next to the hidden column.

Select a column

Press Ctrl + Space to select the entire column of selected cells.

Select the columns on both sides of the hidden column

Press Shift + (Right Arrow key) to select the column numbers on both sides of the hidden column.

Select the Column Width

Press Shift + F10 and select Column Width.

Set the value

The Column Width dialog box will appear.

Enter the column width of the selected column, and press Enter.
ex) 27

Redisplay hidden columns

Hidden columns will now be displayed.

The columns at both ends, including the hidden columns, are now the width of the specified column.
